Wearing salwar kameez designs is becoming more and more popular. A salwar kameez is a traditional style of dress worn by many people in different parts of Asia. It usually consists of a loose fitting tunic style of top and matching loose fitting tapered ankle pants. Men, women, and children all wear this design for special occasions or for every day dress. If you live in an area where there is not easy access to a store that carries many salwar kameez styles, then you will want to try to make your own. Sometimes, finding a pattern to work from can be just as challenging, however. Here are a couple of places you will want to look for salwar kameez patterns to sew from.

In this way, you will have access to the biggest selection from many different sellers and online stores. You might have to search through several different categories or do very specific searches, but you should be able to find something that will work. You might also want to consider looking at traditional western style patterns that you might be able to alter to make them appropriate for a salwar kameez. You could buy a woman’s tunic blouse pattern and then just make the pattern longer and add slits to the top and sides to make a salwar top, for example. You could also do the same with a pair of lounge pants or sweat pants pattern. Simply make the pattern out of appropriate fabric, make it a little looser, and taper the ankles slightly.

There will not be a very big selection and you will have to choose from what certain people have decided to sell, but sometimes you can find a pattern that is like nothing that anyone else will have in this way.
